Lower Merion Police Reiterate Safety Tips After More Car Break-Ins

Police recently said they've gotten more reports of vehicle break-ins and thefts from vehicles. Residents are urged to heed these tips.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Criminals have been lurking in Lower Merion Township, looking to break into vehicles and steal items from them.

And with a new rash of car break-ins and thefts from vehicles, Lower Merion Police are reiterating their safety and security advice to help residents stay secure.

Residents should always lock their vehicles. In many instances, vehicles that have been rifled through by criminals are left unlocked.

All valuables should be taken out of unattended vehicles, as well.

Most vehicle break-ins occur at night, and thus police said residents should park in well-lit areas.
