Man Shot Dead Near St Joseph's University, Police Say

Lower Merion Township officials said a 39-year-old man died after being found suffering from a gunshot at City and Cardinal avenues Sunday.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — A man was shot and killed in near St. Joseph's University Sunday night, according to Lower Merion Township authorities.

The man, 39, was found suffering from a gunshot wound at City and Cardinal avenues, authorities said.

Lower Merion Police got a 911 call at about 11 p.m. Sunday and found the man.

He was taken to Lankenau Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the victim was not shot at City and Cardinal avenues and that the incident is not tied to the school.

The victim's identity has not been released.
