Massive Tree Blown Over In Ardmore During Storm, Road Blocked

A 60-to-70-foot evergreen fell across Ardmore Avenue last night, blocking traffic in Haverford Township, according to a Patch reader.

ARDMORE, PA — A huge tree came down last night in the Ardmore section of Haverford Township, blocking traffic near the Lower Merion Township line.

A Patch reader provided photo shows the massive tree laying across the road at Ardmore Avenue and Haverford Road at about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.

It's unclear when the tree will be removed and the road reopened.
