ARDMORE, PA — The Living Room music venue in downtown Ardmore is getting ready for a grand reopening in early November.

Singer-songwriter Laura Mann’s award-winning, live music venue The Living Room will reopen in early November in a new, custom-built location at 104 Cricket Ave. in Ardmore, which will also be home to her new Cricket Cafe.

An "Ardmore-only" grand opening event on Friday, Nov. 4 will allow locals to get the first look at both new spots.

A list of upcoming performances is featured below.

Tickets for these and more shows scheduled at the 150-capacity venue are on sale now here.

The 3,500-square-foot space will also host family and children’s events, comedy performances, a weekly open mic night, and live jazz music nights.

As a BYOB venue, adults who bring their own beverages to The Living Room’s performances can be supplied with ice, uncorking and glassware.

Yoga classes taught by popular local instructors will take place on weekend mornings and early Monday evenings.

"You could say that we’re adding some ‘new life’ to Ardmore’s music and food scene," Mann (an Ardmore resident) said about the opening of The Living Room’s new location in the former longtime home of Stuard’s Funeral Directors. "Because it’s such a supportive community, we especially want to invite, thank and celebrate with the locals.”

All events at The Living Room are booked by Mann.

She wanted to create an intimate listening room to primarily showcase singer-songwriters, and opened The Living Room at 35 East in Ardmore in 2018.

It was quickly awarded Philadelphia magazine’s "Best of Philly" award for Best Small Music Venue, and Main Line Today magazine’s "Best of the Main Line and Western Suburbs" award for Unique Live Music Venue.

Mann closed it earlier this year to focus on developing the new, multi-functional space at 104 Cricket Ave.

Mann — who’s made the desserts served at The Living Room since its launch — is also excited about expanding her culinary endeavors with the addition of the new, all-day Cricket Cafe in the interior space that adjoins The Living Room.

Cricket Cafe will serve snacks, light meals, desserts and non-alcoholic beverages from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Made-to-order French press coffee, menu items such as Watermelon Pizza and Garlicado Toast, and vintage, mismatched dishware contribute to its cozy, California-inspired, comfort food vibe.
