Stolen Gun Lands Wynnewood Man Felony Charges: Police

A 19-year-old Wynnewood man was found hiding in a private rental bus with a stolen gun Sunday, police in Delaware County said.

WYNNEWOOD, PA — Felony gun charges have been filed against a Wynnewood man after police said he was found hiding in a private rental bus with a stolen handgun over the weekend.

Desmond Forrester, 19, of Wynnewood, has been charged with two felony firearm crimes, trespassing, and disorderly conduct, according to Collingdale Police and court records.

The charges come after Collingdale Police were called to the 100 block of Clifton Avenue Sunday after a man told them two people were hiding in a private rental bus on his property.

Officers went to the bus and found Forrester and a woman inside it.

Both were detained, and officers found Forrester in possession of a 9mm handgun, that authorities later determined was stolen from Upper Darby Township.

Police said Forrester did not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

He was arrested, processed, arraigned, and held on 10 percent of $75,000 bail, according to police and court records. Forrester is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on April 12, records show.

The woman was cited and released for trespassing, police said.
