Trash Old Drugs In Lower Merion Township Saturday

Putting old and unwanted medications into the trash or down toilets can lead to them falling into the wrong hands or polluting water.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion Township Police are joining numerous other law enforcement agencies in hosting a Drug Take Back Day later this month.

Residents can safely dispose of their old, unused, and unwanted drugs on Saturday.

The drug take back event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lower Merion Police Department.

Accepted items are prescription and over-the-counter tablets and capsules, inhalers, creams, ointments, nasal sprays, pet medicines and vaping products.

Needles, liquid medications and intravenous or injectable solutions will not be accepted.
