ARDMORE, PA — Volunteers banded together in Lower Merion Township to help plant nearly six dozen trees throughout the township in coordination with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

Over several months, 150 volunteers — including State Senator Amanda Cappelletti, and Lower Merion Commissioners Anthony Stevenson, Ray Courtney, and Todd Sinai — as well as the Lower Merion Shade Tree Commission, Lower Merion Tree Tenders, and Lower Merion Township staff worked with the horticultural society to plant 70 trees in the township.

The groups identified planting locations, ordered trees, organized volunteers, gathered supplies, solicited material and in-kind donations, and delivered trees to their designated locations.
