Alderfer Auction presents an impressive array of mid-century modern furniture, fine art, and decorative objects, featuring iconic designs and notable artists from the 20th century.
The furniture selection is particularly strong, showcasing pieces from renowned designers and manufacturers. Highlights include a Charles and Ray Eames lounge chair and ottoman for Herman Miller, featuring rosewood shells and black leather upholstery. Danish modern enthusiasts will appreciate offerings like an Arne Vodder for Sibast dining set, including a teak expanding table and chairs, as well as a matching sideboard. Other Scandinavian pieces include, Borge Mogensen for Soborg Mobler Desk and Chair, a Westnofa teak wall unit and items by Torben Strandgaard and Hans Olsen. American mid-century designs are well-represented, with pieces from Broyhill's Emphasis line, John Van Koer for Drexel Profile, and a unique Phillip Lloyd Powell walnut modular bench with a slate tabletop.
