As part of its suicide prevention efforts, Lenape Valley Foundation will hold a candlelight vigil on Tuesday, September 10, which is World Suicide Prevention Day. The vigil will take place in the courtyard outside the Bucks County Courthouse located at 55 E. Court Street, Doylestown, Pa. at 5:30 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature speakers and readings by members of the community and the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Taskforce.
The candlelight vigil for suicide prevention will memorialize the victims of suicide, offer support for family members and friends touched by suicide and offer hope for the future. Community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. National Suicide Prevention Week, which is Sept. 10 - 16, is an annual campaign in the United States geared toward informing and engaging the general public about <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_prevention" title="Suicide prevention" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">suicide prevention</a> and the warning signs associated with <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide" title="Suicide" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">suicide</a>. The campaign aims to reduce the stigma surrounding the topic of suicide and encourages the pursuit of mental health assistance, while also offering support and resources to those who have <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attempted_suicide" title="Attempted suicide" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">attempted suicide</a>. 
For more than 65 years, Lenape Valley Foundation has partnered with residents of Bucks County encountering mental health, substance use, intellectual or developmental challenges, providing services to assist them in the pursuit of their personal aspirations and an enhanced quality of life. Lenape Valley Foundation is a private, not-for-profit provider of crisis, information and referral, treatment, case management, residential, consultation and psycho-educational services.

Join Assistant Curator Abi Lua in conversation with Mira Nakashima as they discuss Altars for Peace, series of wooden tables conceived by George Nakashima. They first found a home at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. After George’s death in 1990, his daughter Mira Nakashima continued the efforts to place altars around the world. 
This conversation between Assistant Curator Abi Lua and Mira Nakashima will lead you through the history of&nbsp;Altars for Peace, from George’s vision to Mira’s continued work to preserve her father’s legacy while also pursuing her own dreams and visions.

Hellerick’s Adventure Farm

Have some fall fun at Hellerick's Adventure Farm&nbsp;Fall Festival! Fall Festival will include a 5-acre corn maze, hundreds of pumpkins and gourds, and over 50 unique attractions, plus its new mini golf course.
Fall Festival kicks off on September 12, and additional&nbsp;adventures on the 18-acre Adventure Farm include:
<ul><li dir="ltr">a wagon ride</li><li dir="ltr">farm animals</li><li dir="ltr">new for 2024 obstacle course</li><li dir="ltr">tractor tire playground </li><li dir="ltr">40+ other activities for children and adults of all ages</li></ul>
Fresh baked goods and cider will be available on select weekends in September and every weekend in October. Additionally, Fall Festival visitors can typically see over 55 different types of pumpkins, squash, and gourds in all shapes and sizes, and can choose some to take home, along with mums, and other seasonal decorations. Guests can also partake in u-pick flowers and crops; availability based on the season. Admission is $14.99 on weekdays/$18.99 on weekends, while children under 36 inches tall are always free!
Additional adventures sprawling across 18 acres include an aerial adventure course, a silo climbing wall, and the ever-popular goat yoga and goat experience. Prices vary and some activities require a reservation.
Fall Festival visitors can be among the first to play Hellerick’s NEW Barn Yard Mini Golf featuring eighteen holes adorned with hand-crafted fiberglass farm animals, ideal for selfies and picturesque moments.
