Doylestown Area Farmers Markets: Where To Find Fresh Goods Nearby

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The goods are very good, but you've got to show up to gather them at your local farmers market around Doylestown and Bucks County.

Local farmers markets, both outdoor and indoor, just keep growing in popularity. There is so much to draw us out. Local businesses can make a showing and it's a chance to sample something. Artists and artisans may be displaying their work, and there's often music.

Here are a few farmers markets around Doylestown where you can shop for what's fresh and local.

Doylestown Farmers Market opens Saturday for the 2022 season. The announced lineup of vendors includes The Bubbly Goat, Bucks County Alpacas, Rabbits Run and Spring Creek farms, and much more. See the list below. The market is on Hamilton Street in Doylestown and is open Saturdays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Doylestown Farmers Market is part of the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance.

Maximuck's Farm and Garden is a unique farm market on Long Lane in Doylestown. Gardners won't want to miss a visit to Maximuck's. They're open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Shady Brook Farm has a market on-site with fresh produce, dairy, specialty and baked goods, and wines from Rose Bank Winery in Newtown. You can also visit the garden center. It's all at 931 Stony Hill Road in Yardley.

The Milk House Market is not far, on Sellersville Road in Chalfont. They're open Tuesday through Saturday, selling amazing baked goods and dairy products. On Fridays and Saturdays, Milk House Market is open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on other days it closes at 6 p.m. Bring the kids to visit the goats and chickens, and cows.

Nonesuch Farm and Market is a family farm that's been in the Yerkes family for three generations. They're at 4458 York Road in Buckingham. The non-GMO grower sells produce, meats, baked goods, plants, and more. The market is open Wednesdays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Late in May will be time to pick your strawberries!

If you're out and about, here are some others in the region:

Lancaster County Farmers Market over in Wayne brings the best of the southeastern Pennsylvania region to Radnor Township, with a lot to choose from. The market is open Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You'll find fresh produce, prepared meals, candy, pretzels, baked goods, and lots more at 389 Lancaster Ave., Wayne. One of the vendors is Good Harvest Farms, bringing hydroponics to its farm stand at the market in Wayne.

Upper Merion Township operates a municipal farmer's market at 175 West Valley Forge Road, in King of Prussia. The market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and runs through Nov. 19 this year.
