Meanwhile, while people are cruising, they also can enjoy some sounds that will be different than car engines.

The first Music in The Meadow event will be held during Cruise Night at Miller Meadow (across from Borough Hall, 414 S. York Road) from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each Cruise Night and includes food, entertainment, and lawn games.

Guests are encouraged to bring their chairs, blankets, and anything else needed while cars cruise up and down York Road.

Borough officials thanked Mike Tulio of CSAC and the Milliner Lofts (upcoming development at 24-28 S. York Road) for sponsoring the event.

Residents are asked to bring non-perishable food items to the Chamber Tent at the corner of York Road and Moreland Avenue. Look for the signs by Reid Repairs & Artifact Corner.

The chamber hopes that Cruise Night will also help fill area food pantries.

Items needed are peanut butter, jelly, cans of meat (tuna, chicken) cans of vegetables, Tomato Sauce, Pasta, Canned Soup, and personal care items.

Please check expiration dates when donating. Donated Items or monetary donations are accepted.

All vehicles must be street legal, and all traffic laws will be strictly enforced. No burnouts are permitted.
