Thousands Without Power In Montgomery County Friday

Torrential rain and powerful winds have wreaked havoc on the Montgomery County electrical grid as the threat of tornadoes looms.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Thousands of people lost power Friday morning across Montgomery County and the surrounding area as the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby brought powerful winds and torrential rain into the region.

All told across Montgomery County, 6,685 residents were without power as of just before noon Friday.

A tornado watch is in effect until 2 p.m. Friday throughout Montgomery County and most of the Delaware Valley region.
