Dems Win Tight Methacton School Board Race
The seven open seats all went to Democrats, but the race was far closer in Methacton than in other local, heavily blue districts.
LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — Democrats won a tight races for school board directors in the Methacton School District Tuesday night, earning clear victories that were much narrower than other local, heavily blue races.
While some final mail-in ballots are still being tallied, all 14 of Methacton's precincts have reported. Here are the results:

The presidential election is a year away, but the results of Tuesday night's local races in the Norristown area and across Pennsylvania will play a key role in the state's future. They'll also important insight into the political landscape of a swing state that could determine the balance of power in the executive and legislative branches next fall.
Results will be considered unofficial until all votes, including those cast via mail and in ballot drop boxes, have been counted.
With an increase in voting by mail, official results likely won't be available for a few days.
Methacton School Board has five open general seats, and 10 candidates. The board also has four candidates running for two open two-year term seats.
