Connestoga Black Out Night 2019

Thanks to Penn Medicine for Sponsoring Conestoga Black Out Night 2019

Conestoga Pioneers Thank Penn Medicine for Sponsoring Black Out Night 2019

Thanks to Penn Medicine Valley Forge, the Pioneer Pit was filled last Friday night with students and fans wearing their Black Out Night 2019 tee-shirts. Penn Medicine has been a long time supporter of Black Out Night, donating 500 tee-shirts that are handed out to arriving students and fans. The Black Out Night tradition started many years ago when the sons of Penn Medicine doctor Dr. DeStefano's played for Conestoga. Black Out Night is a fun, spirited night that adds to the excitement of supporting Stoga's Pioneers. Joining in the fun were the the Wildcat Cheerleaders, who were welcomed by Conestoga's cheerleaders as they cheered on the Pioneers. And as always, Conestoga's Marching Band, the Beast of the East, put on a great half-time show!

The Pioneers played some outstanding football on Black Out Night resulting in Eastern PA Football naming QB Chris McGovern and WR Peter Detwiler as 2019 Top Offensive Performers for the week. The Pioneers have been getting recognition all season, including RB Liam Kirk being named as Main Line Athlete of the Week, as well as being included in the Keystone Club's statewide list of top performers. Other Pioneers who earned Keystone recognition include LB Chris Radina and DB Michael Brosso, both of whom were recognized for having more than 13 tackles in a single game.
