Golf Tourney To Benefit Great Valley Schools

Great Valley alumni can vie for the new "Great Valley Alumni Cup" at this year's Take a Swing for Students golf tournament.

MALVERN, PA – With warm weather here (hopefully to stay throughout the spring and summer), golf season is upon us and that means tournaments. One tournament in Malvern will help you practice your links skills while benefiting the Great Valley School District community.

The "Take a Swing for Students" golf tournament will be held Monday June 19 at the Chester Valley Golf Club and you can register now for the tournament.

Registration includes buffet lunch, use of locker room and practice facilities, 18-hole shot-gun, cocktails, and buffet dinner and program. Dinner-only tickets are available, too.

Individuals can register for $250, foursomes for $850, and dinner-only tickets are $75.

A new feature to this year's tourney is the Great Valley Alumni Cup.

The registered Great Valley alumni foursome with the lowest overall score among Great Valley alumni teams wins the cup. Every member of the winning team will get a trophy and bragging rights for a full year.

You can elect to vie for the cup when registering using the link above.

The tournament's schedule is:

  • 11 to 12:30 – Registration & Lunch
  • 12:30 p.m. – 18-Hole Shot-Gun
  • 5:30 p.m. – Cocktails, followed by dinner, prizes and auction

Proceeds will go to the Great Valley School District, as the Foundation at Great Valley is hosting the tournament.
