MAIN LINE, PA — If you are missing happy hour events as we stay at home to curb the spread of coronavirus, a Main Line restaurant has just the thing for you.

At the Table BYOB in Wayne has launched a digital happy hour event on Fridays.

Alex and Tara Hardy, husband-wife-chef-restaurateur due of At the Table BYOB, are now hosting Friday Night Cheffy Hour.

The Hardys realized that both they and their customers were missing the buzz they gained nightly from typical interaction about where ingredients were sourced, how dishes were prepared, what beers or wines paired with menu items, and conversations about their guests’ careers, kids and travels.

Friday Night Cheffy Hour will be held at 5:30 p.m. for anyone who purchases Friday dinner from At the Table, and anyone else who wants to catch up with a couple of chefs and some local celebrities.

The events will be held via teleconference platform Zoom.

At the Table BYOB’s Friday Night Cheffy Hour launched last Friday, May 1 and was successful, according to the Hardys.

The duo cooked, packed and loaded up several diners’ meals while sharing insights about the menu, anecdotes about how they met everyone on the call, and predictions about what will come of their restaurant and the restaurant business in general in the post coronavirus era.

This Friday, Main Line designers Eddie Ross and Jaithan Kochar, as well as CBS3’s Jessica Kartalija, are scheduled to attend.

Friday's menu includes a tomato burrata Salad with grilled Spanish octopus; a choice of braised short ribs or Maryland crab cakes; mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables; and surprise dessert.

"We felt really inspired after our first Cheffy Hour last Friday night," Tara Hardy said. "It was challenging to pack and serve customers while we did it, but it was so worth it, and the hour was so much fun that it literally flew by."

"We really didn’t realize how much we were missing this type of interaction until we finished the call," Alex Hardy said. "We gained such incredible feedback from our customers that we’re going to continue this until we’re able to serve guests in our restaurant again."

At the Table BYOB’s Cheffy Hour is free to anyone who wants to attend.
