State Police Hosting Day Camp For Differently Abled Residents In Delco

Kid and adults in the area who are differently abled are invited to attend their Annual Free Sunny Day Camp Event in Glen Mills next month.

Applicants must be a Special Olympic Participant, or an adult or child with special needs, or a disability. There is no age limit to attend Sunny Day Camp, but participants must be accompanied, by a family member, or a guardian.

GLEN MILLS, PA — Pennsylvania State Police in Delaware County are inviting kids and differently abled adults to their Fourth Annual Free Sunny Day Camp Event in Glen Mills next month.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Brandywine Youth Club in Glen Mills.

Attendees will see demonstrations by police K9, bomb squad, SERT, mounted units, and more.

The day will also feature emergency vehicles, such as ambulances, fire trucks, and even a police helicopter.

A DJ will be providing live music and there will also be games, lunch, snacks, and free T-shirts.

The day will end with a formal graduation ceremony

State Police are expecting 150 people to attend the event.
