CR Newtown To Face New England In Little League World Series Action

The Mid-Atlantic Region champions return to the field in Williamsport for another shot while shaking off the memories of Thursday's game.

WILLIAMSPORT, PA — After a heartbreaking loss to the Southwest Region on Thursday, the Council Rock Newtown U12 Little League team returns to action tonight against the New England Region in World Series action in Williamsport.

The team, coached by Brad Hamilton, Kyle Neeld and Doug Peiffer, will be fighting for a chance to stay alive in their World Series run. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 with local watch parties at the Green Parrot, Iron Hill Brewery and the Clubhouse.

After a day off from play, the team will be shaking off Thursday's night loss to Boerne, Texas, which saw the Southwest Region champions scoring three home runs and a Grand Slam in its 9-0 win over the local boys.

Tonight, CR Newtown will be returning to the field in Williamsport for another shot while shaking off the memories of Thursday's game and remembering what got them to Williamsport in the first place - excellent offense, great defense, good pitching, fielding, batting, coaching, and teamwork.

"No matter what happens, you guys are just awesome. I love you forever," Coach Hamilton told the boys prior to Thursday night's game.
