NORRISTOWN, PA — Democrats have swept the Norristown Area School Board races, according to unofficial results from the county.

Here are results for the five open seats, with all 28 of Norristown's precincts reporting:

Monica D'Antonio (D/R): 7,550
Phil Daniels (D/R): 7,213
Ingrid Parker (D/R): 7,640
Sharon Hale Mauch (D/R): 7,666
Mao O'Howell (D): 7,589

Lisa Licwincko-Engelman (R): 4,363

A total of 31,457 of the county's 73,277 mail-in ballots have been counted thus far. Democrats, as expected, hold a huge advantage in Norristown.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Polls have closed, and results are coming in for the Norristown Area School Board and several other local races. Check back with Patch throughout the night as results tallies and other updates are provided.

The presidential election is a year away, but the results of Tuesday night's local races in the Norristown area and across Pennsylvania will play a key role in the state's future. They'll also important insight into the political landscape of a swing state that could determine the balance of power in the executive and legislative branches next fall.

Results will be considered unofficial until all votes, including those cast via mail and in ballot drop boxes, have been counted.

With an increase in voting by mail, official results likely won't be available for a few days.

Democrats dominated the primary in the spring, so most candidates for Norristown Area School Board are cross filing as both Democrats and Republicans. There are six total candidates for five seats.
