Then on Sept. 16, 2021, Curry shot and killed 19-year-old Sidney Sessoms inside Sesson's home by shooting him in the chest after chasing into the property on the 2900 block of Weikel Street.

Sessoms' father was also shot multiple times, sustaining serious injuries but surviving.

Curry also opened fire on two police officers responding to the Weikel Street shooting, they were not injured.

Curry fled the scene but was quickly taken into custody by police after he was found underneath a parked vehicle in that neighborhood.

Police found the gun and Curry's cell phone, which allowed investigators to link Curry to both deadly incidents.

Curry was sentenced to 42-and-a-half to 85 years in state prison earlier this month.
