Cool Off Centers Available For Chester County Seniors

There are seven senior center locations throughout Chester County where oldsters can socialize and beat the heat.

WEST CHESTER, PA —With excessive heat in the forecast, Chester County provides cool options for older adults who are subjected to heat related health issues.

There are cooling off centers in seven locations spread out across the 759-square mile county in southeastern Pennsylvania.

The county commissioners said the senior centers are lifelines for many older adults.

With the temperatures forecasted in the mid to high 90s throughout the week, commissioners are reminding residents that these centers are available.

The senior centers provide activities, meals, educational programs and exercise classes.
