Severe Thunderstorm Warning In Montco, Chesco

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued in parts of Montgomery and Chester counties through 8:15 p.m.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued in parts of Montgomery and Chester counties. It is in effect through 8:15 p.m., the warning said. This storm has 60 mph wind gusts and possible hail.

"Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible," forecasters with the NWS warn.

Locations impacted include: Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, West Norriton, Souderton, Birdsboro, Collegeville, Royersford, Trappe, East Greenville, Schwenksville, Elverson, Bally, Bechtelsville, Green Lane, New Morgan, Pughtown, Spring Mount, Geryville, and Gilbertsville.

The following highways are also impacted: Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 296 and 304; Northeast Extension between mile markers 30 and 38; and Interstate 176 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 1 and 11.
