Driver Shoots At Father, Son On I-476 In Delco, Causing Crash: PSP

Police said a Wayne man was charged after firing multiple shots at another vehicle carrying a man and his 8-year-old son.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A man is facing charges after police said he opened fire at another car on Interstate 476 in Delaware County, causing both vehicles to crash, authorities said.

According to police, the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Friday on northbound I-476 near mile marker 12 in Radnor Township.

Police said 62-year-old Christopher M. Foley of Wayne was driving a blue Honda Civic when he fired multiple gunshots at another vehicle carrying a 41-year-old man and his 8-year-old son. Both cars crashed into each other, police said, and disabled the Honda.

According to police, the man and his son were uninjured. Foley was taken to Paoli Hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

Following the incident, Foley was charged with two counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and a firearms charge, police said Saturday afternoon.

Following an arrangement, a judge set Foley's bond at $1 million. He remains in custody at Delaware County Prison pending a preliminary hearing.

The incident remains under investigation.
