Shooting In Main Line Park Leads To Charges For Man

WAYNE, PA — After shots were fired in a Radnor Township park, a man was charged with firearm violations, DUI, and more crimes.

According to Radnor Township Police, Tomas Cruz Gayosso, 33, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged in connection with a Sunday afternoon shooting at Skunk Hollow Park.

Police said officers were called to the area at about 1 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

Officers who showed up found Gayosso in his vehicle in Saw Mill Park.

They noticed a gun wedged between the driver's seat and center console, as well as shell casings on the vehicle's floor and empty alcohol containers, police said.

They detained Gayosso and took him into custody due to him showing signs of intoxication, police said.

Police closed the park for about 45 minutes to search it with the help of a Lower Merion Police K9 for any evidence or potential victims.

Authorities also obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, leading them to find six spent shell casings inside it.

Gayosso was arraigned Sunday night and remanded to jail, police said.

Gayosso is in the United States on a green card and has no ties to the area, according to police.

He is not licenses to carry a firearm, and police said the firearm was not his.

No one was hurt in the shooting, police said.
