HBO's 'Task' Filming In Wissahickon Valley Park This Week

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — HBO's upcoming series "Task" starring Mark Ruffalo is filming in Roxborough this week.

According to the Roxborough Development Corporation, the filming is taking place Monday through Friday this week inside Wissahickon Valley Park.

With the filming, there is no parking in certain areas.

They are:

• Both sides of Ridge Avenue, between Green Lane and Monastery Avenue
• East side of Conarroe Street, Between Ridge Avenue and Lawnton
• East side of Lyceum Avenue, six spaces from Ridge Avenue
• Both sides Monastery Avenue, between Ridge Avenue and Mitchell Street (half block closest to Ridge Avenue)

Parking is not permitted on these streets through 10 p.m. Friday.

Vehicles parked in those areas will be relocated to another street in the area by the Philadelphia Police Department.

Parking will be permitted on these streets for trucks and trailers, but these streets and sidewalks will remain open.

"Our cast and crew understand that we are guests in your community, and our priority is to give you the utmost respect and care," Tasker Productions Assistant Location Manager Christopher Gormley said. "We look forward to filming in your neighborhood and thank you in advance for your cooperation."

Ruffalo was recently spotted at the Delaware County Government Center and Courthouse to shoot scenes for the new HBO show, which is a sort of follow-up to the hit series "Mare of Easttown."

"Task" stars Mark Ruffalo, whose role is a "damaged" FBI agent, the actor told Deadline.

"Task" has filmed all over the region over the past several months, including in Chadds Ford, Ridley Township, Edgmont Township, Aston Township, Upper Chichester Township, Phoenixville Township, and Schuylkill Township.

Ruffalo is previously starred in another Delaware County-set production in 2014's "Foxcatcher." Ruffalo played wrestler Dave Schultz, who was killed by John Eleuthère du Pont at du Pont's farm in Newtown Square in 1996.
