Parkland's Top 3 Percent to be Recognized at Graduation

The top 3 percent of the Parkland High School Class of 2013 will be recognized instead of a valedictorian and salutatorian.

Beginning with the class of 2013 and beyond, the Parkland Board of School Directors authorized the elimination of the public reporting of class rank for all students. 

Therefore, for the first time at the Parkland High School graduation ceremony on Wednesday, students graduating within the top 3 percent of the class will be recognized instead of a valedictorian and salutatorian that has been past tradition. 

The students graduating with highest honors in the top 3 percent of the class will be wearing a red/gray honor chord over their graduation gowns and are listed alphabetically below:
