Devon, Chesterbrook Among Best Places To Buy Homes In PA: Niche.com

The two Tredyffrin-Easttown area neighborhoods are ranked very high in Niche's list that measures at home values, property taxes, and more.

TREDYFFRIN-EASTTOWN, PA – Niche.com, known for its lists ranking towns, schools, colleges, and more, has released a new list of the best places to buy a house in Pennsylvania. The 2017 list features towns all over the Keystone State, but some suburban Philadelphia areas found their ways to the list.

Devon and Chesterbrook made the list, which is based on home values, property taxes, home ownership rates, housing costs, and real estate trends. The ranking is derived from data from the U.S. Census, FBI, and other data sources.

Devon came in at the fourth best place to buy a home in PA, while Chesterbrook was a close fifth.

Niche reports the median home in Devon is $549,100 with median rent at $1,242, though just 7 percent of Devon residents rent. Median household income is listed at $176,042, dwarfing the $53,889 national median household income.

Over in Chesterbook, the median home is $302,200 with median rent at $1,845, though just 7 percent of Devon residents rent. Median household income is listed at $108,072.

Both Devon and Chesterbrook are in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District, which is widely considered one of the best, safest, and most challenging public school districts in the country.
