Ann’s Choice Hosts Neurodiversity Awareness Forum

The event aimed to raise awareness and foster understanding of neurodiversity.

(Ann's Choice)

On August 23, Ann’s Choice, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Bucks County, Pa., held a Neurodiversity Awareness Forum. This educational event, sponsored by the community's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging(DEIB) Committee, aimed to raise awareness and foster understanding of neurodiversity.

The forum featured insightful discussions on the nature of neurodiversity, the stigmas associated with it, and strategies for better supporting and communicating with neurodiverse individuals. Panelists also addressed ways to cultivate a more inclusive environment within the community.

The event was co-hosted by Jeff Rueckel, Assistant Director of General Services, and resident Barbara Masonis, co-chair of the Resident Advisory Council (RAC) and member of the resident DEIB committee. Panelists included Jess Egitto and Robert Minschwaner from Employment Technology Inc.
