LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A federal agent scam and a stolen Volvo were among the criminal incidents reported by the Lower Makefield Township Police Department in its blotter for the past week.

These are the criminal incidents:

DUI ARREST —Quarry Road and Silver Stream Drive, reported at 3:13 p.m. While assisting at an accident scene, police could smell a heavy odor of marijuana emanating from a passing vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and further investigation led to the arrest of a 37-year-old Sellersville man for Driving Under the Influence.

THEFT —1500 block of Silo Road, reported at 7:03 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of an Amazon package.

Aug. 6

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —1600 block of Quarry Rd., reported at 5:44 p.m. The complainant reported their rental vehicle was keyed by an unknown person.

Aug. 5

FRAUD —1400 block of Pheasant Run Circle, reported at 10:34 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) used $6,000 worth of their airline miles to book an international flight.

Aug. 3

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT —200 block of Marlboro Road, reported at 7:29 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked 2021 Volvo XC9, started it with the key fob inside, and stole it. The vehicle was later recovered in South Brunswick, N.J. An investigation is ongoing.

THEFT —1700 block of Kathy Drive, reported at 6:08 p.m. The complainant reported sometime
overnight, an unknown person(s) removed an unsecured mini dirt bike from the community bike rack. The complainant reported another motorbike was stolen in the same fashion in July.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —1200 block of Revere Road, reported at 8:43 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) egged their residence.

Aug. 1

FRAUD:

  • 1400 block of Clinton Drive, reported at 9:20 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) attempted to gain personal information from them via a Facebook babysitting ad.
  • 800 block of Weber Drive, reported at 12:34 a.m. The complainant reported receiving a phone call from an unknown person claiming to be a federal agent and advised them that their identity was compromised.

RETAIL THEFT —900 block of Vansant Drive at Wegmans, reported at 3:43 p.m. Loss Prevention detained a 56-year-old township woman for taking $137.07 worth of merchandise without paying. She was taken into police custody and will be summonsed for Retail Theft.
