EG's Lenihan Named Realtor of the Year

Patricia A. Lenihan was nominated for her peers who cited for her leadership, advocacy for the profession and community service.

EAST GREENWICH, RI—Congrats are in order for Patricia A. Lenihan, who spends her days connecting people in the art of closing real estate days out of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's office in East Greenwich—and much, much more.

Lenihan, whose career now spans 31-years, has just been named The Kent Washington Association of Realtor's 2016 REALTOR of the Year.

Lenihan happens to be the president of the organization and was nominated by her peers for working on behalf of her fellow real estate agents as an advocate and voice for professionalism and integrity, according to a news release. She has also led by example by leading numerous fundraisers as chairwoman of many committees. Through her work, tens of thousands of dollars has been raised for Crossroads Rhode Island and charities supported by the East Greenwich Rotary Club, where she is also a member and past President.

The Kent Washington Association of REALTORS® congratulates Patricia A. Lenihan, Principal Broker for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in East Greenwich, on being named KWAOR 2016 REALTOR of the Year!

Currently President of KWAOR, Pat oversees the training and operations of an office of 60 sales agents and has been a leading voice for professionalism and integrity throughout her 31-year real estate career. She has served many years on the Professional Standards Committee of the Kent Washington Association, including Vice Chair from 2006-2010 and Chair from 2010 to 2011.

As President of the Association, Pat has been a strong advocate for Broker education. She has reached out to KWAOR Broker members through a series of Broker breakfast meetings to update brokers on local, state and national REALTOR® association information, initiatives and goals. Most recently, she served as moderator for a Panel Discussion on Cyber Risks.

Within her community, Pat has chaired many fundraising committees, and through her leadership, tens of thousands of dollars have been raised for Crossroads Rhode Island and for local charities supported by the East Greenwich Rotary Club, where she has served as an active member and past President. She is a trustee for St. Francis de Sales Church in North Kingstown and serves on the church's Property Planning Committee.

Pat has also chaired the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS® (RIAR) Education Committee, has chaired six charity golf tournaments and currently serves as RIAR's Federal Political Contact (FPC) to US Senator Sheldon Whitehouse. She has also been appointed to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Broker Involvement Committee in 2017.

Pat is one of five nominees for 2016 Rhode Island State REALTOR® of the Year. The winner will be announced at the Rhode Island Association's Annual Installation of Officers and Directors on October 19th.
