3 Teens, 1 Minor Charged With Sexual Assault: RI Police

The charges came after a woman said she was sexually and physically assaulted at a Wakefield home, state police said.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Three young adults and one minor are facing charges of sexual assault after a woman said she was attacked in a Wakefield home, Rhode Island State Police said.

The assault happened March 1, police said. The woman, who was incapacitated at the time, found out what happened when the accused men sent her videos after the fact, according to the department.

  • Montrell Wilson, 19, of Narragansett
  • Trenton Scuncio, 18, of Wakefield
  • Jah'quin Sekator, 18, of South Kingstown

No identifying details were released about the minor. All were arrested Friday and charged with first-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, simple assault, video voyeurism and conspiracy.

Wilson, Scuncio and Sektor were arraigned by a justice of the peace and held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institute in Cranston, ahead of a re-arraignment in court on Monday. The minor was held at the Rhode Island Training School ahead of a virtual court appearance Monday.

If convicted, the penalty for first-degree sexual assault is a minimum of 10 years in prison, up to a life sentence. Second-degree sexual assault carries a sentence of three to 15 years in prison, while video voyeurism carries up to three years in prison and a fine of $5,000.
