Fire Damages Second Floor, Attic Of South Kingstown Home

Several crews were called in to extinguish the flames in the Kersey Road home.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — No one was injured in a fire that damaged the a South Kingstown home Thursday night, the fire department said.

The fire broke out at the Kersey home just before 6:30 p.m. Multiple fire crews were called in to extinguish the flames, which were in the second floor and attic of the building.

Chief Steven Pinch of the Union Fire District of South Kingstown reports that crews responded to a house fire last night in the Peace Dale neighborhood of town.

"Our crews worked quickly and effectively to extinguish this fire and we are grateful that no occupants of the home were hurt as a result," Union Fire District Chief Steven Pinch said. "This incident required response from multiple vehicles and we were on scene within minutes to offer aid."
