Narragansett Police Look For Public's Help To Find Church Vandal

Over the weekend, the fingers were broken off the right hand of a statue of Jesus outside St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — Narragansett police are looking for the public's assistance in identifying who vandalized a statue of Jesus at a local church over the weekend.

The marble statue sits outside the Catholic Church of St. Thomas Moore on Rockland Street. Overnight Saturday into Sunday, the fingers were broken off the statue's right hand.

Anyone with information or video of the area is asked to reach out to police by calling 401-789-1091. Anonymous tips will be accepted.
