  1. The Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank has approved a $400,000 loan to finance environmental remediation at the Nexus Lofts redevelopment at 49 North Union St. The project will yield 27 apartments with ground floor office and/or retail. (NEREJ)
  2. North Smithfield police seized $36,000 and two pounds of marijuana during a drug raid, and a local man faces felony charges. (Patch)
  3. A state-approved wetlands development project in Cumberland has been withdrawn. The project had been been proposed by the son of Gov. Dan McKee's chief of staff, leading to litigation and accusations of political favoritism. (The Valley Breeze)
  4. On a positive note, Central Falls police are the first in Rhode Island to train all officers in nonviolence techniques. (WJAR)
  5. Pediatricians are urging universal masking in Rhode Island schools. (Turn to 10).
