In this workshop, titled&nbsp;"The Present is Perfect,"&nbsp;participants will reflect on the ideas of&nbsp;certainty and judgment, exploring how "good" news has led to disappointments, "bad" news has led to unexpected blessings, and the only place we can effect change is the present moment. 
About the Write Your Growth Workshop Series
This workshop series invites participants to consider and explore a variety of topics related to wellbeing and personal growth via the written word. 
With exercises ranging from list-making and journaling to writing original poetry, participants are guided through discussions and reflections by local writer Hannah Little.

Join us for a Howl-o-ween Hike N Treat event to benefit the <a href="https://www.friendsri.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter</a> on Sunday, October 27, 2024, starting at 2 pm at Warwick City Park (across from Dog Park), 185 Asylum Road, Warwick, RI. Rain Date is November 10th. Please watch our <a href="https://facebook.com/events/s/howl-o-ween-hike-n-treat-to-be/1229215261439083/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">social media</a> for weather-related updates.
This is an event for the dogs and their humans! There will be games, dog treats, human treats, a group walk for the dogs and their humans, pet costume contest with 3 chances to win (3rd, 2nd and 1st place prizes) and a cash raffle! Costumes are encouraged for both dogs and their humans but not required. There will be plant-based snack samples available at the ANVV (a vegan group table) and a fun photo backdrop to take selfies with your pup. Please bring water for you and your pup, and waste bags for your pup. We will have some extra on hand just in case.
NOTE: if you have a pup who isn’t sociable, but you would still like to participate, come on down - dogs not required to attend.
This event itself is free to attend. We will be setting up in the field across from the dog park. Hurry ~ limited spots available! 
<ul><li>Advance registration is required to participate in the walk with a $10 donation. The hike will start promptly at 2:30 pm. Check-in starts at 2 pm and will take place at the Furry Fellas booth. The costume contest will take place once everyone returns from the walk around 4 pm.</li><li>Costume contest registration required in advance with a $10 donation. Costume contest check-in will be available at 3:45 pm for those who aren’t participating in walk and will be arriving later. Check-in will be at the Furry Fellas booth.</li></ul>
All well-behaved, friendly, vaccinated dogs are welcome! 
Required dog vaccine: Current rabies certificate or tag, or an exemption letter from your veterinarian. 
Recommended (not required) vaccines: Bordetella and Distemper vaccines for dogs coming into contact with other dogs.
This event is hosted by <a href="https://www.furryfellaspetsitting.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Furry Fellas Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Service</a> and proceeds will be donated to the <a href="https://www.friendsri.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter</a>. By participating in any aspect of this event you agree to take full responsibility and liability for any and all actions of your pup(s). It's going to be a fun day at the park - join us!
