Join Ruby Falls for a free community concert featuring the Tennessee Harp Trio, hosted by Skyline Loft. The Tennessee Harp Trio will perform delightful selections and family favorites, including popular, classical, and Hollywood-themed tunes.

The trio features Marissa Purnell, harpist for the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra, Korenna Hodge, former harpist for the Oak Ridge Philharmonic Symphony, Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra, and UT Knoxville Orchestra, and Joanna Seiber, founder of Joanna Seiber Entertainment.

Shoonya Meditation is a complete path to inner wellbeing. This four-day residential program combines Shakti Chalana Kriya, powerful and purifying breathing techniques utilized to encourage the flow of vital energy into the central energy channel, or sushumna nadi; and Shoonya meditation, an effortless process of conscious non-doing. Together, these practices stimulate the release of physical, mental and emotional blocks and activate the spontaneous expression of vital energy.
Completion of the Inner Engineering Program (including the Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya) is a prerequisite for attending this program. NOTE: If you took the Inner Engineering course online, you must have also completed the Shambavi Mahamudra program, prior to registering for this class.
This program will be conducted by an Ishanga (instructor) trained by Sadhguru, and will be offered at Isha Institute of Inner-sciences, Tennessee, USA.
<h2>Program Guidelines &amp; session information</h2>
This is a residential program conducted by an Isha Yoga Instructor.

Note: One must attend all sessions in order to participate in this program, so please consider the program closing time and driving distance before booking flights. Allow travel time of 3 hours to Atlanta airport, 2 hours to Nashville airport, 1 hour to Chattanooga airport (plus one hour time change as Chattanooga is on Eastern Time Zone) You will then need to plan additional time to check-in at the airport.

After submission, you will be informed via email if you are approved to attend the Shoonya program (usually within 48 hours), along with a link to complete your payment. Please await this approval before booking any of your travel.
If you have already been initiated into Shoonya before, please indicate this in the registration form.

Local nonprofit Hope Included in partnership with Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors and Play &amp; Park Structures Inc., a PlayCore company, have announced the Grand Opening of the Riverview Park Playground to take place Thursday, September 12 at 4:00 p.m. Since the project began last fall, it has transformed into an inclusive park that is an open and safe space carefully designed to promote play among children of differing abilities, ages and communities. 
The September 12th celebration will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony and complimentary Kona Ice sponsored by Play &amp; Park Structures, Inc. and Bliss Products. Guest speakers scheduled to appear include Nicolle McCoy, Founder of Hope Included; Commissioner Brad Turner, Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities; and Morgan McCormick, Park Stewardship and Maintenance Director for Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors.

Hubbard’s debut solo album, aptly titled Tyler Hubbard, was released in January 2023 and has amassed more than 1 billion streams to date. Alana Springsteen Country A force-of-nature talent with the passion to match, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Alana Springsteen is already an expert at crafting the kind of songs that imprint on your heart forever. After learning to play guitar at the young age of seven, the Virginia Beach native began penning her own songs at nine, and soon started trekking to Nashville to co-write with industry heavyweights. In the tradition of powerhouse female Country stars she grew up on, Springsteen instills her music with an irresistible mix of charisma, confidence, and warm yet fearless honesty.
Now on the precipice of releasing her debut album, TWENTY SOMETHING, as a newly signed artist to Columbia Records NY/Sony Music Nashville, the 22-year-old reveals her rare ability to express complex emotions with impossible ease. Rolling out the anticipated collection in three parts, she explains, “Our twenties, they can be confusing, exhilarating, humbling, and unforgettable. We’ll mess things up, over and over again. We’ll learn, do better, and start figuring things out – the world around us and ourselves. And if we’re lucky … and we do the work … and we love hard, once in a while, we get these glimpses of what it feels like to get it right. An incredibly detail-oriented musician who unfailingly holds her own with studio veterans, Springsteen first cultivated her laid-back self-assurance as a little girl. “Both my granddads are pastors, so on Sunday mornings they’d have me get up in church and sing a solo,” she recalls. When her maternal grandfather unearthed a dusty old classical guitar from the garage, she felt overcome with the urge to play. “The guitar was twice my size and I ended up with so many blisters on my fingers, but I never even thought of giving up,” she says. “It’s like I had an instant emotional connection with the guitar, where every time I picked it up I felt better.”

Pickleball Courts

Continuing their efforts to bring more people outdoors and stay active, Collegedale Parks &amp; Recreation has teamed up with The Medicare Store for a 50+ Pickleball Tournament. The tournament will provide seniors a chance to showcase their pickleball skills and to compete at a local level.
Aspiring pickleball players and those that are well-seasoned are invited to compete in this friendly competition. Registration can be found online at <a href="https://file:///C:\Users\MNB\Downloads\www.collegedaleparksandrec.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.collegedaleparksandrec.com</a>. Sponsored by The Medicare Store on Highway 58, the 50+ Pickleball Tournament will begin at 9:00am on Friday, September 13th. Players will meet at the Collegedale Pickleball Courts within the Imagination Station Park located at 4910 Swinyar Drive in Ooltewah, Tennessee 37363. 
The Pickleball Tournament will have double elimination bracket play and players will be paired with others by skill level. Players will receive t-shirts and the top teams will be awarded medals. The Medicare Store will be providing hot dogs and water. Registration is $10 per player. 
“We are excited to host this friendly pickleball tournament for those 50 years old and older,” said Christina Clark, Collegedale Parks and Recreation Supervisor. “We will have additional local businesses on hand such as the Chattanooga Food Bank and Blood Assurance. It’s important to give our seniors in the community different opportunities to come together and enjoy the outdoors and stay active.”

Get ready to rock and roll with our Rockabilly Pin-up Contest at The Groovy Nomad on Elvis Night! This amateur contest honors the 1950s Southeast Rock &amp; Roll, Swing, and Country culture. The contestants will take the stage and be judged by the audience based on their interpretation of the genre. Open to participants age 21+.

Entrance Fee: Non-refundable $25 fee is required before the event deadline&nbsp;

Number of Contestants: 5 Minimum, Limited to only 20 Contestants Max — first 3 contestants will receive a gift.
