Hermitage Apartment Pool Shooting Critically Injures 1

Metro Police said a man was shot in the back during an apparent robbery at a Hermitage apartment complex pool early Wednesday.

NASHVILLE, TN — An early-morning dip turned violent at a Hermitage apartment complex early Wednesday morning.

Metro Police said four people who were not residents of the Park Apartments on Old Hickory Boulevard hopped the fence for a swim. One of the four told police that while they were there, two men approached them, demanding their belongings at gunpoint.

As one of the victims was complying, he was shot in the back and the gunmen fled.

MNPD said only two of the original four swimmers were still on the scene when officers arrived shortly after 1 a.m.

The shot man is at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition. The suspects are still at-large and the investigation is ongoing.
