Got Milk? Demolition Of Bellaire H-E-B To Begin On March 17

When the store reopens, it will be the first two-story H-E-B in the Houston area.

You'll have to do without the H-E-B at 5130 Cedar for a while, because the building that houses it now is scheduled to be razed beginning on March 17. But have no fear, because a two-story, 75,000-square-foot behemoth of a grocery emporium will take its place, complete with a drive-thru pharmacy.

The new store will feature 230 parking spaces on the ground level, while the upper level will accommodate 82 vehicles, according to Bellaire Connect.

When construction is finished — likely in fall 2017 — Bellaire will have the sole two-story H-E-B in the Houston area. The ground floor will be dominated by parking spots, while the bulk of the actual grocery offerings will reside on the upper level.
