AUSTIN, TX β€” The Central Texas Food Bank has canceled its food distribution that had been scheduled on Monday, officials announced Sunday.

Severe cold weather that have yielded icy roads spurred the cancellation, officials said. "For the safety of our clients, staff and volunteers, all food distributions scheduled for Monday, February 15, by the Central Texas Food Bank have been canceled due to weather and road conditions" officials wrote in an advisory.

The Food Bank will also be closed on Monday, officials added. The cancellation also includes the Mobile Food Pantry that had been scheduled for Luling, officials said.
