AeroMexico Offering Upgraded Service To Mexico City From Austin

Starting Sept. 18, larger Embraer EMB-190 aircraft featuring 11 premier class seats will be offered to and from Austin airport.

AUSTIN, TX — AeroMexico, the national airline of Mexico, will offer upgraded service with larger jet aircraft and premier class seating on its daily nonstop flights from Austin, airport officials said.

Beginning on Sept. 18, larger Embraer EMB-190 aircraft featuring 11 premier class (first class) seats and 88 main cabin seats—providing 23 additional seats per flight—will be offered on flights to and from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Mexico City.

Passengers can purchase or upgrade to Premier Class, and AeroMexico’s Club Premier and Delta Sky Miles Elite users can use loyalty program perks to upgrade seats, according to airport officials. Additionally, AeroMexico is now partnering and code-sharing with Delta Air Lines, officials said.

The AeroMexico daily nonstop flight departs Austin at 1:57 p.m. and arrives in Mexico City at 4:20 p.m. In the opposite direction, the nonstop flight departs Mexico City at 10:20 a.m. and arrives in Austin at 12:42 p.m. Tickets are available at www.aeromexico.com or by calling 1-800-237-6639.

AeroMexico began nonstop service from Austin to Mexico on Nov. 17, 2016, flying four days per week, on Tuesday, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. In March 2017, the airline added flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to provide daily service between Austin and Mexico City. Austin-to-Mexico flights are currently serviced with Embraer EMB-170 equipment with 76 main cabin seats, officials said.
