Amy's Ice Cream Coming To East Austin

New location at 2002 Manor Rd., the 13th store in Austin, is scheduled to open this fall.

EAST AUSTIN, TX Amy’s Ice Creams is coming to East Austin.

In its first new location in five years, the artisan ice cream brand will open up a new store at 2002 Manor Rd., officials with CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, told Patch. CBRE arranged the lease for the ice cream provider in representing the landlord, officials said, adding the new location is expected to open this fall.

Bryan McMurrey, with CBRE’s Austin office, represented the landlord in the transaction while Steve and Amy Simmons of Amy’s Ice Creams represented themselves, officials said.

“Amy’s homed in on this vibrant, active area for their newest location," McMurrey said. "With neighbors like Hoover’s Home Cooking, Mi Madre’s, Salty Sow, and Eastside Café, this end cap space seemed like an ideal fit for a beloved Austin staple like Amy’s.”

The landlord noted the addition of Amy's will complement the existing tenant mix at the site, furthering the emerging profile of the Manor Road retail and entertainment scene. For its part, Amy’s Ice Creams has been a sweet Austin fixture since opening 1984. The company now has 15 locations, including in Houston and San Antonio. The Manor location will be Amy’s 13th Austin store.
