Austin Airport Launches Nonstop Service To Amsterdam For SXSW

Special SXSW flights arrives March 14 and March 18 in Austin at 4 p.m. with departure at 6:43 p.m.

AUSTIN, TX — Just in time for SXSW, Delta Air Lines has launched four nonstop, round-trip flights between Amsterdam and Austin.

The flights to and from Airport Schiphol and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport started running on March 8 and 9, and continue on March 14 and March 18.

On March 14 and 18, the flight arrives at AUS at 4 p.m. and departs AUS at 6:43 p.m. The special SXSW flights will operate using a Boeing 767 aircraft with 225 seats, enabling almost 1,000 fans to fly nonstop to attend the SXSW festival.

“Delta’s AUS-AMS flights will make it even easier for global customers to experience SXSW, which last year saw 400,000+ attendees at this convergence of music, interactive, and film industries,” said Jim Smith, Executive Director, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Operated in conjunction with Delta’s codeshare partners, Air France, KLM and Alitalia, the flights from Amsterdam will seamlessly connect with services from across the carriers’ joint European network, including Paris, Frankfurt, Rome and dozens of other one-stop destinations.
