Austin Homes Ranked 2nd Most Expensive in Texas
Several Austin suburbs were near the top of the report as well.

A report by real estate listing website Coldwell Banker has named Austin as the second most expensive city to buy a home in Texas.
Cities were ranked on the average listing prices for four-bedroom, two-bathroom houses. The report found that the average price for Austin was $362,030.

Several Austin suburbs made the list as well.
Cedar Park also found itself in the top 10, coming in at No. 8 with an average listing price of $304,574. Also on the list was Round Rock, its average price of $268,211 earned it the No. 21 spot.

The report found that the average listing price for Texas is $214,994, nearly $150,000 cheaper than average prices in Austin.
The only city ranked higher than Austin? The Galveston/Tiki Beach/Jamaica Beach area, which had an average listing price of $447,936.
Boerne, La Vernia and Grapevine rounded out the top five.
