Frontier Airlines Nearly Doubles Nonstop Destinations From Austin

From Albuquerque to Minneapolis, Omaha to Tampa, carrier adds flights with a 'Low Fares Done Right' corporate mantra.

AUSTIN, TX — Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has nearly doubled the number of nonstop destinations to 30 cities with 14 new, low-fare options to and from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport starting in April, officials said.

Seven of the new routes will offer the only nonstop flights available from Austin, airport officials noted. To celebrate the new service special introductory fares are available for as low as $29 each way (some restrictions apply) at FlyFrontier.com, officials added.

  • Charleston, S.C. (only nonstop)
  • Detroit
  • Jacksonville, Fla. (only nonstop)
  • Milwaukee (MKE) (only nonstop)
  • Minneapolis-St. Paul
  • Omaha, Neb. (only nonstop)
  • Portland, Ore.
  • Providence (only nonstop)
  • Reno, Nev. (only nonstop)
  • Tampa, Fla.

“The greater Austin and Central Texas communities continue to respond well to our Low Fares Done Right philosophy,” Josh Flyr, Vice President of network planning and revenue for Frontier Airlines, said in a prepared statement. “We are proud to double down on our commitment and bring even more low fares to Austin with 14 more non-stop destinations. With 30 destinations now available, we are the second largest carrier at Austin Bergstrom in terms of cities served.”

Added Jim Smith, executive director of ABIA: “By nearly doubling their service again this year, Frontier’s robust growth adds to the economic vitality of Austin and Central Texas.”

Frontier flies one the youngest fleet in the industry consisting of x Airbus A320 Family jet aircraft, officials added. With nearly 200 more new aircraft on order, Frontier officials plan to continue growing and modernizing their fleet toward providing affordable air travel across America. By 2026, the company expects to have served more than 50 million passengers a year, officials said.
