An Irving-based Mediterranean franchise is planning to bring its shawarma dishes to San Antonio.

Shawarma Press plans to plant its feet in on the Far West Side at a Walmart store located at 11210 Potranco Road, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
It's unclear if the location will be inside the Walmart or on a pad site on the property. Project scope details calls for renovations to 2,000 square feet of existing space.

"I am not ready to give any more information, other than that this is very exciting for us and more expansion plans are going to come soon," says Shawarma Press owner Sawsan Abublan.
