Experience the flavors of summer with this informative, educational, and immersive program celebrating mezcal and the flavors of Mexico. Listen to the founders of Bruxo mezcal as they share their stories and learn about the people and the process of distilling this time honored drink. 
From the Mexican state of Oaxaca, learn all about mezcal from planting and harvesting by generations of farming families to the distilling process. Taste for yourself the deep smoky flavors mezcal is known for. Savor the pairings of small plates of mole, tasty bichos (or bugs), with a dash of sal de gusano.
Tickets include a program with mezcal tasting paired with small bites followed by dinner (appetizers and enchilada dinner) with specialty cocktails - Mezcal Mule &amp; Paloma Mezcal. Food by Cuish/Gusto Group.

The Alamo and the Briscoe Western Art Museum invite you to our inaugural Voices of the West Living Legends series on Wednesday, September 11 at 6 pm at the Briscoe. Join us for a conversation with country music singer, songwriter, actor and nine-time Grammy Award® winner, Ray Benson from Asleep At The Wheel moderated by John Spong. 
If you’d like a more exclusive experience, we are offering a limited number of VIP tickets that include open bar, light appetizers, and a meet and greet with Ray Benson just before the show.
Briscoe Museum members will receive a special discount code via email.
This event will take place at the Briscoe Western Art Museum, located at 210 W. Market Street in downtown San Antonio
