Grand Opening For Gristmill At Tuscany Park In Arcola

Arcola Mayor Fred Burton and other local officials joined with residents and executives from the NRP Group to celebrate the new development.

ARCOLA, TX — Officials in Arcola took part in the grand opening on Wednesday of the first mixed-income apartment community to open in Fort Bend County since Hurricane Harvey

Arcola Mayor Fred Burton and other local officials joined with Arcola residents and executives from the NRP Group to celebrate the new development and discuss current issues in the Arcola community.

“I’m thrilled to be here today, to meet the residents of Arcola’s first new development to open since region was devastated by Hurricane Harvey in 2017,” Burton said. “The fact that the community is fully occupied six short months after the start of leasing speaks volumes to the need for clean, safe, and well-designed affordable housing in Arcola.”

Gristmill at Tuscany Park, located at 21821 South Post Oak Boulevard, in close to Houston Southwest Airport, was developed by The NRP Group, a vertically-integrated, best-in-class developer, builder, and manager of multifamily housing. It is the first community in Fort Bend county to open since Hurricane Harvey.

The eight-building, garden-style community consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, 88 of which are designated affordable.

Community amenities include a swimming pool with sundeck, 24-hour fitness center, business center, community lounge and outdoor playground.

The community is pet-friendly. Each apartment home includes a fully-equipped kitchen, full-size washer and dryer connection, oversized walk-in closets, 9’ ceilings, and a covered patio or balcony.

“The NRP Group has a great presence in Texas and we were on the front lines helping its existing residents during Harvey 18 months ago,” said Debra Guerrero, Vice President of Government Affairs at The NRP Group. “It’s doubly rewarding to now offer not just rescue and renovation services, but brand-new housing to a community that needs it.”

Officials cut the ribbon on the Gristmill at Tuscany Park during a ceremony Wednesday evening. The NRP Group, a vertically integrated developer, builder and manager of multifamily housing, built the 96-unit, eight-building community, and are looking to attract new residents to the Arcola community.
