Rosenberg Woman Killed In Freak Accident At Car Wash

A Rosenberg woman was killed after a man backing out of a parking space hit several cars and pinned her against a steel beam, police said.

ROSENBERG, TX — A freak accident at a Rosenberg car wash Sunday morning claimed the life of a young woman when an elderly customer lost control of his car, police said.

The accident happened at about 10:45 a.m. at the Blue Wave Car Wash, located at 6622 Reading Road.

When police and EMS arrived, they found a woman who’d been pinned against a steel beam by her own vehicle. Witnesses who helped free the woman said an elderly man was backing out of a parking space and lost control.

The man hit several cars, including the victim’s car, pinning her against a steel beam. The woman was taken to an area hospital, but later died, investigators said.

The woman's identity has not been released. Charges have not been filed against the man.
