Satellite Voodoo will rock the tunnel at Angels Gate Cultural Center on August 16th and 17th! Satellite Voodoo is Chuck Alvarez featuring vocalist Ed Callen with special guest Phil Shanale on keyboards.
"The Fortnight Concert Series provides the opportunity for music lovers to experience the artist’s performance up close and personal. The small intimate underground space, located in Battery Leary at the former Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, California, encourages conversation between the performers and their audience as if you were in their living room.
We want to create a relaxed atmosphere where the artist’s can tell their story, how they work and create. What happens between songs and sometimes during is often funny, touching, and serious, but most of all entertaining."

Fortnight Concert Series: Chuck Alvarez and Satellite Voodoo Featuring Ed Callen

Please join us in the galleries at Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC)&nbsp;for a Closing Reception celebrating UPEND Female Experience and Activism and Displacing Structures, followed by an Artist Talk with the curator and artists of UPEND.
In <a href="https://angelsgateart.org/exhibitions/upend-female-experience-and-activism/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">UPEND</a>, curated by AGCC Director of Exhibitions Cecelia Koger, contemporary feminist issues are explored through the lens of radical empathy for the female experience. 
Guest curated by Fafnir Adamites, <a href="https://angelsgateart.org/exhibitions/displacing-structures/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Displacing Structures</a> expands upon traditional fiber techniques to reveal and embrace the personal, queer bodies, and the tensions between structure and aberration.
This will be the final opportunity to view the exhibitions. Refreshments will be provided for the Closing Reception from 1pm to 3pm, and the Artist Talk will begin at 3pm.
