Dear Meditation Community,
Stress is a common part of our daily lives, but it doesn't have to control us. By learning to consciously relax the mind and body through basic meditation techniques, many people have experienced reduced stress levels and improved mental and physical health. 
Relaxation is a skill that can be developed, just like any other meditation technique. When the body is in a state of relaxation, a different part of the nervous system kicks in to counteract the stress response. This rest and relax response is the antithesis of the fight, flight, or freeze response to stress. It is both a physical and mental state that triggers the release of chemicals in the body to promote relaxation and well-being.
I invite you to join me for online group meditation Tuesday August 20th at 7pm for a guided meditation on “Relaxation.”
Please go to my website meditation-works.org. Go to Group Meditation and contact me through the "Contact Eileen" link on the left no later than the Monday before Group Meditation to receive the Zoom link.
